These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the PocketBot mobile application (the “App”). PocketBot is a service provided by Cantic Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom (“Cantic”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.
PocketBot is a cloud-connected personal assistant. Subject to your authorisation, it connects to the third-party services you use, processes the activity within them, generates summaries (“briefings”) and a curated list of items that may require your attention, and, on your instruction and subject to your approval, performs actions on your behalf. The App requires an internet connection and communicates continuously with our servers and with an artificial-intelligence service in order to function.
The App is currently provided in beta. The App and its related services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features may be changed, may fail, or may be withdrawn without notice. You should not rely on the App for any purpose where an error, omission, or delay could result in material harm.
The App can read content from the services you connect and, through an autonomous agent, propose and carry out actions such as drafting and sending emails, posting messages, creating calendar events, and generating documents. Actions that alter anything in the outside world are subject to your approval: the agent proposes an action, and you determine whether it proceeds.
You remain responsible for the actions you authorise. Because the App interprets your connected-service content and your instructions using artificial intelligence, you should review each proposed action before approving it. We are not liable for the consequences of actions you have approved, nor for any misinterpretation, omission, or error inherent in automated processing.
The App relies on large language models, hosted by a third-party cloud provider, to summarise your activity, maintain the assistant's contextual understanding of you, and formulate proposed actions. These models may produce results that are mistaken, incomplete, or unpredictable. Their outputs are suggestions and drafts only; they do not constitute professional advice and must not be treated as legal, financial, medical, or other expert advice. You must exercise your own judgement. Our handling of the data involved in this processing is described in our Privacy Policy.
The App offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Apple's in-app purchase system.
By using the App, you agree to use it lawfully and not for any purpose that is illegal, harmful, or in breach of the terms of the third-party services you connect. You are responsible for the connections you establish, the permissions you grant, and the actions you approve, including any emails sent, messages posted, events created, or data modified on connected services as a result. You must hold the necessary rights to connect each service and to authorise the App to act upon it.
The App connects to third-party services (such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Slack, Outlook, Notion, and others) using OAuth, and may connect to financial or messaging services such as Monzo and WhatsApp where you choose to enable them. By connecting a service, you authorise the App to read content from it and to perform the actions you approve. You may disconnect any service at any time from the App settings. PocketBot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any third-party service provider, and your use of each service remains subject to that provider's own terms.
All rights in the PocketBot application, website, branding, and related materials are owned by Cantic Ltd. The content within your connected services remains yours. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the PocketBot service without our permission.
The App is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, the accuracy or reliability of AI-generated outputs, or uninterrupted availability. The service may fail or produce unexpected results owing to limitations of artificial intelligence, changes to third-party APIs, rate limits, or outages outside our control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cantic Ltd and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to damages arising from actions taken on connected services, from AI-generated content or recommendations, or from your reliance upon them.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or that are used in a manner harmful to others or to the operation of the service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
